Ballybofey & Stranorlar Chamber of Commerce has published a summary document of the support and advice related to the Covid 19 pandemic available to businesses. These include Government websites, the HSE, HSPC, Donegal County Council, and many others. The document covers health advice, guidance for employers and details of business supports.
Leah Fairman, of the B&S Chamber says, “Speaking to our members, they have serious concerns about the health and safety of staff and customers, trading levels and business continuity. There is a lot of information out there and it can be overwhelming when business owners are considering their next steps. We’ve collated this guide for businesses and will update it on a regular basis as the situation changes. We would like to thank Donegal County Council and all of the mentioned business organisations for their swift response to this crisis, and we look forward to working with everyone over the coming weeks as we try to limit the impact of this pandemic.’
The Chamber of Commerce is also thanking the community of the Finn Valley for continuing to Shop Local at this critical time for small businesses. With over 300 businesses in the Twin Towns area, they provide a vital lifeline to the whole community by supporting jobs, families and giving back through sponsorship and fundraising. Leah continues, ‘We are very proud of our members for acting swiftly and putting the health and safety of their staff and customers first. The majority of our businesses are continuing to trade as normal. Many are implementing new systems to support vulnerable customers. Others are continuing to trade online or by phone, even after closing their doors. We would like to thank the whole community to get behind our small businesses and help them are we face this challenge together.
