Launch of Town Speakers and On Street Piano in Ballybofey & Stranorlar

BASICC/ Ballybofey & Stranorlar Chamber of Commerce were delighted to launch the Town Speakers and On Street Piano for Ballybofey & Stranorlar Saturday, 13th July 2019.  Thanks so much to everyone who came along

The piano and speakers were in action for the first time for a morning of fun-filled activity, including music, dancing AND A GIANT FLASH MOB!  We had a brilliant morning – here’s a little clip of the highlights. Make sure to turn on the sound

The Chamber applied for and received funding of €10,000 for the Towns Speakers for both towns.  The funding came through the Community Enhancement Programme administered by Donegal Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) on behalf of The Department and Rural and Community Development.  The speakers will be used for special events in the towns, to add to the street atmosphere, and make announcements during events.

In an exciting first for Donegal we also putting a street piano outside The Balor for the summer, which anyone can play.

We have lots of people to thank for making the day happen!! So much hard work and enthusiasm, and a huge community effort. We really appreciate everyone’s time and participation.
